Account sign-in methods and account recovery

BitcoinVN supports several sign-in methods. The methods connected to your account are listed under Security.

Use the same method associated with your account. A BitcoinVN password reset cannot reset access to Google, Telegram, an Ethereum wallet, or another external account.

Email and password

If your account has a password, sign in with its email address and password.

If you forgot the password:

  1. Open Password reset.
  2. Enter the confirmed email address associated with the account.
  3. Open the reset email and follow its link.
  4. Choose a new password.

Password-reset emails are sent only for accounts that already have a password. If you normally use Google, Telegram, an Ethereum wallet, or a magic link, use that method instead.

Magic-link sign-in

Magic links are intended for supported email-based accounts without a password.

  1. Open Sign in by email.
  2. Enter the account email address.
  3. Open the newly requested email.
  4. Use the sign-in link from that message.

An account configured with a password will not receive a magic link. Use the password form or password reset instead.

Never forward a magic link or authentication code to anyone.

Google or Telegram sign-in

Select the corresponding button on the sign-in page and use the same Google or Telegram account connected to your BitcoinVN profile.

If you cannot access that Google or Telegram account, use the provider’s own account-recovery process first. BitcoinVN cannot reset credentials managed by another provider.

Ethereum-wallet sign-in

Connect the same Ethereum wallet associated with your BitcoinVN account and approve the sign-in request in the wallet.

BitcoinVN will never ask for your recovery phrase or private keys. If you lose access to the wallet, use the wallet provider’s recovery process. Do not enter a recovery phrase on the BitcoinVN website or send it to support.

Troubleshoot missing emails

If an expected message does not arrive:

  1. Confirm that you entered the exact email address associated with your account.
  2. Check Spam, Junk, Promotions, and any secondary inbox tabs such as Other.
  3. Search the mailbox for “BitcoinVN.”
  4. Request a fresh email and use only the newest link or code.
  5. Check whether your account uses a password, magic link, or external sign-in provider.

Some email providers may filter automated messages. If you can still sign in, you can change your address from Security.

Change your email address

While signed in:

  1. Open Change email address.
  2. Enter the new address.
  3. Open the confirmation message sent to that address.
  4. Follow the confirmation link.

If you cannot sign in or no longer have access to the registered address, contact [email protected]. Account recovery may require identity verification.

Manage or recover two-factor authentication

To enable, disable, or update authenticator-app 2FA while you can access your account, open Two-factor authentication.

If you have lost access to your authenticator app, contact [email protected]. Account recovery may require identity verification.

BitcoinVN will never ask you to send an authenticator code, password, magic link, recovery phrase, or private key by email or chat.
